FOGHAT – “8 DAYS ON THE ROAD” (2021, METALVILLE)

by MythofRock

When we are talking about boogie, we must refer to Foghat. To be more precise and clear, Foghat are the legends of boogie. And they are still alive and kicking, even only with drummer Roger Earl from the ‘70s line-up. The American band is celebrating now its 50-year anniversary with the release of a live album. “8 Days on the Road” was recorded on November 17, 2019 at Daryl’s House Club in Pawling, New York, and it presents all the characteristics of the live shows of Foghat, it captures all the live energy, passion and soul of the boogie veterans. The sound is perfect, the performance of the band is extraordinary and the magic of Foghat is still here! For everyone who hasn’t been in a Foghat live show this live document stands as the perfect chance to live the adrenaline of Foghat’s live concerts. For the ones, who have seen Foghat, “8 Days on the Road” this is a souvenir, an album of memories, feelings and melodies! The boogie hard rockers selected to play live all their hits and big songs like “Drivin’ Wheel”, “Road Fever”, “Slow Ride”, “I Just Wanna Make Love to You”, “Stone Blue”, “Fool For The City’ etc. and what comes from the speakers is pure fuckin’ raw energy! Foghat has mourned the death of so many original members, however, Roger Earl is here, with his repsected in the rock community band mates, to carry the legacy and keep the myth going on and on. If you are a Foghat fan, you sure haven’t waited to encourage you to listen to this live album. But if you aren’t so much into Foghat, well, get ready for a hard rockin’ boogie inferno!
